What Others Are Saying

I was preparing for my transition from active CEO to Chair and needed to develop my personal and my company’s plan to do so. I knew Deb from her executive and board programs consulting work at the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) and asked her to evaluate my leadership team, making recommendations on strengths and gaps so I could form a going forward strategy to create a Board of Advisors. These advisors would aid me in my new role, providing outside perspective and support to our recently promoted President and offer insight on trends, make new introductions and help in longer term strategic planning.

Deb crafted individual and team SWOTs and she helped define and achieve best fit re-alignment related to C-Level roles and responsibilities. This made identifying the expertise, diversity and cultural background that my advisors would need very clear. She defined the Board of Advisors charter, strategy, timelines and on-boarding process and executed on it. Deb kept us on track, delivered through many of our internal distractions and saved us months in startup time.

Because of her deep resources and search experience we also retained Deb to recruit our Board of Advisors and the results and rewards have been greater than expected.

Regardless of where you are in your process Deb provides the clarity and adaptability to work through challenging personalities and situations. She knows how to deliver hard information with grace and did an awesome job at setting up our framework, recruiting, vetting, assembling and the on-boarding of our Advisors. I highly recommend Deb and her team and will work with her on future projects.

We knew that we needed to augment our traditional executive development programs. What we lacked was an understanding on the direction to move in.

Deb and her team provided the focus, insight and process to create customized workshops and executive brand development programming that has energized our executives.

Through Corporate BoardLink's workshops and webcasts we co-created a quarterly series centered on board readiness and executive development related to gaining a seat at the table.

Deb is extremely knowledgeable, very engaging and knows how to drill down skills and impact so that our officers are clear on what they have to offer a board. Her follow-up coaching during board interviews as well as the video recording of presentations made a big difference in executive’s knowledge base and presentation skills.

Deb helped create a business plan for a new suite of offerings to help empower women leaders to seek Board seats versus waiting for the phone to ring.   Because of her extensive knowledge of this area, she was able to provide a competitive assessment and created a series of services that was differentiated in the marketplace and from our competitors.

Her insight and extensive knowledge and experience likely saved us more than six months in getting the program up and running. I find Deb to be professional, an excellent communicator, very organized and someone who delivers on her commitments. She’s a real gem to work with and we got great things done together.  Working with Deb exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend her to other individuals or organizations wanting to learn more about seeking public or private Board seats.

I met Deb shortly after I had been elected to my company’s Board of Directors. At the time she was consulting with a women’s organization that I was a member of.  The focus of that work was to create a development strategy for its executive members that would prepare them for and promote them into C-Suite opportunities and the election of more women directors to corporate boards.

As a result of getting to know Deb through this work, I asked her to assist our board by making recommendations for female directors within the foodservices industry. My recommendation of Deb’s services to the Nominating Committee was well received, she quickly determined our Board needs and in a short period of time introduced us to very qualified candidates from whom to choose.

Deb understands the importance of building relationships. I found her to be trustworthy, knowledgeable and enthusiastic in solving our BOD need. We’ve continued our relationship after the Directors search and that has made me a stronger Director and more qualified for the work I’m doing.

I highly recommend Deb and Corporate BoardLink for their personal service, expertise and the ability to quickly assess and understand the client’s needs.

Corporate BoardLink was retained by a mutual client and as such Deb and I collaborated on a multi-year engagement. I worked on developing the appropriate reporting, the board book development and streamlining strategic information. Deb was brought in to a) determine if the family owned and led company was ready to adopt a board b) to develop the board framework, including onboarding and c) create the board including candidate sourcing, vetting and offers.

Deb was able to navigate through the complex issues that arise out of transitioning from a family led to a professionally managed company. Our client and their officers were extremely impressed with the results and the people she has brought to the table. She has exceeded both the clients and my expectations.

She’s intelligent, articulate and very straight forward. When working with her you are tapping into a very high skill level with a depth of experience hard to find. She not only delivers solutions but more importantly helps you mine out what you are truly looking for and then helps deliver it. Corporate BoardLink offers the complete experience that transforms consulting or the delivery of services to trusted advisor. After you work with Deb you want to keep her a part of your “go to” resources. As a matter of fact that’s exactly what the client has done.
